FAQ: Track Codes for N Scale, what they mean, and which one is right for me?
CODE 80: - Code 80 is the standard and most popular track option for modellers world-wide. Commonly found in Train Sets, Track Packs and is readily available at hobby stores. Code 80 track is universal, allowing track from one manufacturer to be connected to another manufacturer (with the exception of ezi snap track, which will need a comversion joiner to integrate the two).

CODE 55: - Code 55 track is a specialised rail code to meet the standards of enthusaists who prefer to run trains at an accurate height that is more prototypically correct.. This track is shorter in height (measursing .055"). Code 55 track can easily be combined with Code 80 track, no special connections or joining pieces are required, however, there will be a small visual appearance between the two rail coces.
